GetMotors Privacy Notice

Version 2026-10-03.draft-1

DRAFT — not legal advice — requires review by a solicitor before launch

Who we are

[GetMotors legal entity name, company number and registered address — to be confirmed] ("GetMotors") runs the GetMotors dealer platform. Contact: [privacy contact email — to be confirmed].

Two roles

GetMotors is the controller for the information about dealers and their staff that we need to run their accounts. For the information that car buyers give to a dealer's website, the dealer is the controller and GetMotors processes it on the dealer's behalf under a Data Processing Agreement — buyers should read the privacy notice on that dealer's website.

What we collect about dealer accounts

Your name, work email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).

Two-factor authentication settings, and records of sign-ins and sessions.

Your dealership's details, plan and billing history. Card payments for subscriptions are handled by Stripe; we never see full card numbers.

Which version of our terms and Data Processing Agreement you accepted, and when.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To provide your account and the Service — performance of our contract with your dealership.

To keep the platform secure and prevent misuse — our legitimate interests.

To keep accounting records — legal obligation.

Who we share it with

Our hosting provider, our payment provider (Stripe) and our email provider, each acting for us under contract. [Full list and regions — to be confirmed.]

How long we keep it

While your account is open, and afterwards for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax records. [Exact periods — to be confirmed.]

Your rights
